I just can't believe Robert Palmer has died. It is so sad. Is it me or does this seem to be a trend lately. Robert Palmer 1949-2003 R.I.P http://www.robertpalmer.com/ [This message has been edited by Miah (09-28-2003 12:05 AM).] |

Yes Miah -- we've lost a lot of legends this year. Robert Palmer was a valued member of the musical elite. I'll miss him. It's a trend though that's trending towards us all... |

Robet Palmer Johnny Cash Barry White Warren Zevon Tony Jackson (the Searchers) Erik Braunn (Iron Butterfly) Dave Rowberry (The Animals) Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix Experience) Martin Jenner (A-list Session Guitarist) Steve York (A-list Session Bassist) Chris Mitchie (Van Morrison) Ian Samwell (Cliff Richards) Howie Epstien (TP and the Heartbreakers) Maurice Gibb (The Bee Gees) Mickey Finn (T. Rex) We've lost all of these terrific popular musicians this year, as well as over 50 classical musicians/singers, and several Jazz musicians. I actually got a chance to see Robert palmer with Power Station (my apologies to anyone old enough to remember). He was a really decent performer. Miah! You found your password! Wonderful! As for Robert's passing, I found myself more moved than I would have thought - perhaps it was his age... much too young. But there certainly is a hell of a band in heaven...that's for sure... |

It is sad, to me there all gone before their time. Even if there 100. Sunshine, Yes I did figure out my password, however i got acess under the adult forums with Miah2..hahahah oh boy I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed.lol But..I have comfort in knowing that their music will live on, and hopefully someday my children will dance to them, until we are all jamming in heaven. |

I was bored enough to do an ego search on google and found this early report of my demise. I am flattered that any one would notice I was missing, but I assure you that when I do pass on I will be try to be the first to let you know. Thanks for thinking of me! Sorry to take so long to find this and respond. I've been busy trying to stay alive! Steve York. PS> My heart goes out to the friends and family of the other musicians we have lost. |
