Give them too me...Geesh..I've been saying things like that a lot lately
What are some happy songs..and I don't mean even soft sappy slow love songs...I mean some upbeat, get your feet tapping, and your fun spirit singing, roll your windows down, let the breeze in, smile at everyone, tunes...Those ones that just make you feel like you're gonna burst with the joy of life and live today like every moment counted (as it usually does anyway) I mean it..NO SLOW SAPPY SONGS WHETHER THEY'RE HAPPY OR NOT...I want catchy tunes with a cute beat..silly tunes with a funny beat...etc...

Mine are...and with no certain order, genre, or even artist every time included, because I just can't remember all that stuff..

"She's All That" Collin Raye (hey..we have to have DA MAN in there, right) as if it were even a question

"Live, Laugh, Love" (country..forget who sings it)
"...Gonna live laugh, love just for today...gonna take all the trouble that tomorrow might bring, and give it away..gonna drink every drop of happiness til they cover me up...gonna live..gonna laugh..gonna love...."   Anyone recognize it?

"I Ain't Never" (country, Perfect Sranger)

"Wide Open Spaces" (country or whatever they call themselves... Dixie Chicks) Its upbeat..powerful and about discovering oneself. Thats what I get out of it, so its not slow or sappy...it has an upward beat and is positive=happy. *sticks out tongue*

"Countin' Flowers On the Wall" (country..I think..don't remember who sings it)

"Overnight Male" (country..George Srait)
"She Lays it all on the Line" (country..George again)

"Where the Sidewalk Ends" (country..yup..George)

Soo..thats all I can think of for right now. Give me a break, I'm still coming out of my recent dark cloud, and I HOPE to be staying out of it. *crosses fingers*

***************************************************

Ohh..and YANNO..anyone who likes Collin Raye, and isn't TOO far from Gulfport, MS for coming on short notice, could come to this wonderous man's concert, right? Any Collin Raye worshipers out there? Isn't he just wonderful...and such a SEXY voice...geesh..err..okay..*wipes drool* Seriously..who's near here? This could get interesting..oh well..a girl could hope, eh? I wonder if he'd like to be kidnapped by a whole group of women poets!   Soo...August 14th at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi at 8pm. OHHH   Reminds me..I have to call about tickets.  EGADS!!

Temptress,

Live, Laugh, Love is sang by Clay Walker (cute video BTW, his little girl is in it if I'm thinking of the correct one.)

Flowers on the Wall is Eric Heatherly, remake of old Statler Brothers Tune.

Still thinking on my favorite songs. Will be back to let you know.

All Pop/Teeny Bopper music makes me happy.
Anywhere from N'Sync, Christinia Aguilera, Hanson, Janet Jackson,Dream..and so on and so forth. You get the point.

But as far as individual songs...hmmm.
I just heard
Gwen Stefani- Obla Di Obla Da
Originally done by the beatles- But I just love her She brings tons of enery to the song.
And Prince- Little red Corvette. =)
Oh! Dee-Lite- Groove is in the heart
An oldie...But Everytime I hear it I have to laugh.

And of couse- anything techno/trance is always upbeat and gets me going.

And I'm stealing your song BTW- Hashpipe by Weezer is bad! I love it.

And you guys know that Gap Commercial? With the Mello Yello song...? I can't think of who sings it... But I LOVE that song...It's on my Napster.
So ya- Mello Yello.

And who could forget? Roy Orbinson- You got it.

I think the one song that has always made me smile no matter what life may be throwing me at the time is:

I've got a Name - by Jim Croce

" And I carry it with me like my Daddy did,
But I'm livin' the dream that he kept hid."

I absolutely LOVE it BUT I don't know who sings it NOR do I know the title. It drives me INSANE. I've tried EVERYTHING to figure it out... It's an old song.
I call it "Love"...or "You're the One."
Anyone know what I'm  talking about???
ya know " Baaaaby...my sweet baaaaby...You're the one."
