I know that I overreact to things. But I've never done this before! Last Thursday, I was talking with a good friend (Friend 1) of mine, who was helping me with a situation. We discussed my ex boyfriend, and he was saying how worried he was for me and how I should never contact that guy again because he was a jerk and he didn't treat me right (which I agree with). The next day I was talking to another friend (Friend 2) and he came up to us. He (Friend 1) said to her (Friend 2) something in reference to a past conversation they had had. I asked what's up, and they were like, "Oh, well we can't tell you that. It's too 'bad.'" Not really a big deal but it upset me, because I felt like they weren't taking me seriously. I mean, these people tell me to stay away from my ex because he didn't take me seriously but after that now I wonder how seriously they take me. Now it's five days later and I'm still hurting. And like I said I know that I have a tendency to overreact. I don't know what to make of anything! What do I do? I feel like such a baby even mentioning this but I had to get it out in the open. Thanks to anyone who read. ~skyshine I'm in charge, and I say question authority! |

skyshine dont make me tell you that if they aren't friends who wanna help out then they aint friends in the first place dont make me say arent yuh glad you know who you're friends are. I will say that you can pray that God will give you understanding in what to do in this situation. Its hard to give up friends. Sometimes you put up with their failings forever because they are your friends. Would they do the same for you? does the answer to that question change your mind about keeping them as friends? I dunno |

They were rude to bring up something in front of you that they didn't want to discuss with you. But that's all they were, in my opinion. A little rude and maybe thoughtless. Even the best of friends deserve to set the limits on what they feel comfortable discussing. Even the best of friends deserve privacy. Personally, I don't think that in any way makes them less of a friend. Nor should it reflect on you. |
