People are still dying indirectly as a result of the terrorist attacks. I received this e-mail from a bussiness associate: "Several days after I visited with you (11th) Sam finished our business in Denver and tried to get a new flight back to Virginia...without luck!. I headed west by car and Sam rented a car and started driving solo back home. I regret to tell you that he had a head-on collision with a truck somewhere near Indy and was killed instantly." Had he simply flown back, he'd still be alive today. It makes one think, was it fate? What happens when the road you're on suddenly turns. What if you go right when you should have gone left? What if the attacks hadn't happened, causing flights to be grounded? How many other lives were effected that we don't even know about? --- Gene (formerly, u_gene) [This message has been edited by Gene (edited 10-03-2001).] |

What a tragic thing. I think that it is a matter of how you look at things. We all must go sometime, just strange that it happens that way. I feel we must look to the heart and make peace with the fact that there is nothing we can do to change our ending in this life. We can only hope for protection and guidance for ourselves and our loved ones. We had a scare here in Tennesse today with a man that attacked a Greyhound bus driver. Not much has been said other than 6 being dead...with the man who did it being one of them. The driver actually survived but crashed the bus. I can't help but think that he must feel horrible/elated at the same time while his life was spared. They haven't disclosed whether it was terrorist related or not. But feel most likely it wasn't. I hope not. But still the madness continues. The world is starting to think differently and definately feel differently. Sincerely, Regina |

To be completely honest, I never even thought of the indirect effects its been having, especially those of this subject's nature. It almost gives me an even more heightened sense of insecurity, if that's even possible. I live in Indy... what a world this is coming to. ~Ali Liefhe alle ten spijte van duivel. |
