Any opinions..this is what I have been hearing for a week..go back as much as possible to your normal life, fly, travel, live, shop, don't put the country in a recession out of fear. Now I hear "The chance for further terrorist attacks is considered great, and will likely increase if the US follows through on any retaliatory threats" OK, should I stay home and hide, or what??? And I am not making light of any of the situation, believe me, I just cannot figure out what to do. Stay home, or not. Be afraid, or not.(well, I am a little no matter what they say) Is this getting a little frustrating to anyone else? I went and got a ticket to visit cross country, and now I am wondering if it was a VERY bad idea. Sigh, this whole thing is so absurd, it is like a very bad movie with no ending at all..just a big question mark. How could any of this have happened in the first place, with all of the US intelligence out there, I cannot understand in the first place. Can we rewind this situation please, and start over, and prevent the entire thing... OK, vent completed. Thanks for listening. Sandra |

The best advice I've heard is: Live your life. Don't be afraid to take your trip - be aware of your surroundings and take care of yourself, but don't let terror win! |

I completely agree with PDV...don't ever let terror win. I understand the fear, but you can't let it control you. Don't care what people say |

Agreed, thanks guys. Thats why I made the reservation, and I will keep it. Too many good possibilities at the other side of the rainbow.. But it is a little scary, anyway. Sandra |

"Sigh, this whole thing is so absurd, it is like a very bad movie with no ending at all..just a big question mark" --Isn't it though? And since all movies end, perhaps we should try to think of it differently. --I wonder if a better explanation is a more local, more personal metaphor. --Think of being in a car accident. --Our security bubble is gone and it's difficult to drive but eventually, quite naturally, it returns. --Because this movie doesn't end. I'm not afraid to fly myself. As you know, I got on a plane Sept 18 and felt no fear. Security has been beefed up, and statistically, there is more chance of dying in a car accident. Terrorism may strike again, but everyone is being so vigilant now, that it will be much harder for them to get away with anything. We cannot live our lives in fear. Go on your trip and enjoy it, I'm sure all will be safe If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |
