Okay. Now that the 4th of July is over, what are some of your best Independence Day memories?

Independance Day is also the anniversary of moving into my first house.   My life is neat sometimes, ain't it?

I'll always remember my childhood on Retrieve Prison Farm, where my dad was a guard. Since it was county, instead of city, Dad would buy HUGE boxes of fireworks from catalogues, usually between $150-$300's worth...and since Dad had a Class-B permit, the displays would often rival nearby Dow Chemical's.

One of my least fav would have to be this past one. Spent the night helping put out a brush fire caused by fireworks. FYI, they are illegal here in Arizona.

Geesh...I wasn't really trying to offend anyone, and for the record; I realize there are more people around here from places other than the USA.

Love, hugs, and weird looks to all!

Right now someone outside my apartment is irritating me by shooting off fireworks (they can't tell the date, apparently)
Once my ex husband blew off a firecracker in the car and nearly ruptured my eardrum.
Uh, good times..lets see.
I have a mixed one, went to Mexico, with a group of friends for the 4th, it was blood blazing hot, and they all got drunk and shot off firecrackers and scared meto death, as they were way to out of it to handle explosives. Oh that was supposed to be the good time..Well, I was with a guy I liked pretty well
You know, I don't think I like the 4th  LOL

Watching the fire place illuminate with beautiful colors when my Grandfather threw a bag of trash in....when it was really a bag full of fire works.
Man, we had a HUGE chimney fire and ALL....
It was very exciting for me......
