April 5, 2001 Mizz Aggie, met a new man yesterday. He joined her ‘senior singles’ group at the local church. He’s younger than she, he’s 82 and he’s never been married. Mizz Aggie likes him a lot – he’s got a great wit and loves music. And Mizz Aggies loves to laugh and sing! She figures you’re never too old to be attracted to someone. So that made her wonder (and come up with this question), what qualities (other than physical) in a person of the opposite sex attracts you and what qualities repulse you? |

Hmm... Good qualities.... **Understanding **A man who listens to and remembers for more than a few hours what I say is important to me **A man who will tell me what is important to him, and share with me what is on his mind when he's frowning and I ask him what he's thinking about **One who remembers not to forget to compliment me once in a while, especially when I make an extra effort **A man who can dote on me, but still give me space **A man whom I can at least playfully goof off with or kiss (light quickie kisses) in front of his family Hmm...thats not all, but I don't have time to list them all. Repulsive **Constant complaining of one's oncoming age, thus creating a hopeless crumbling zest and passion for what is left of life.  **Someone who'd rather grope me before letting me sit on his lap and curl up with him **A man who publicly tries subtle ways of control using his voice and comments to me but otherwise knows not to dare try to control me **A man who does the above last comment in front of other members of the male species whom he feels threatened by, but cannot admit it to me **See opposites of my above likes too. I think "thoughtfulness" is first and foremost--"sense of humor"---anybody with ME would have to have a great sense of humor--  AND...intelligence.and what turns me "off"? CONTROL FREAKS!!! |

1. A great sense of humour ( he'll need it if he's going to be with me) 2. Intelligence ( nothing worse then having an intelligent conversation with someone who only knows the rules of sports) Least attractive things: 1. Someone is is so full of themself they can't see anything else. 2. People who judgs others by their appearance. 3.Someone who is ALWAYS right. They know everything about everything. Marina |

I like a guy who knows a little something about history and literature, but not a know it all. I like a guy who can laugh, but knows when to be serious. Most of all, I like any guy who can put up with me!!!  |

Wow, there are many things that makes a man a quality man. The most important to me is a man that has respect for him self and others. With that, more qualities are sure to follow. I like a man that can laugh and enjoys life. I like a man that isn't afraid to show and express his feelings. I like a man with an open mind. I like a man who is fun loving. I love a man that will love me for who I am. What repulses me? A man that thinks he's better than everyone else. A man that thinks he knows everything and is always right. A man that thinks his way is the ONLY way. A man that is a liar. A man that abusive, controling and degrading. These are just to name a few..... Another great question Aggie! ~Sheri |

These are the qualities that attract me: Sense of humor (duh! if you know me you know this has to be way up there) Intelligence (not necessarily the 'college educated' kind; so really smart people had very little or no formal college) Kindness Independence (I can't be with you 24/7 so don't even ask; and you must let me have MY independence too) Creativity (this is the most exciting part! to see someone create something - no matter what it is!) Turn offs: Focus on money (if you want to get rid of me, start telling me how much you make, how much you paid for you car, house, meal, shoes, etc. I don't care!!) Impatience (life is too short to stress out over getting something quickly!! relax!) Bigotry/prejudice (another quick way to end the relationship and lose my respect) Bad temper (I don't like to argue so I won't!)  [This message has been edited by Poet deVine (edited 04-05-2001).] |

I am very attracted to one's sense of humor! If they cant't make me laugh, the forget it. One thing that repluses me is lasck of sensitivity. He's gotta be sensitive. That's my 2 cents for the day... --Marie subconsciously, i think i can eat so much to make my stomach hurt, instead of my heart. |

Everyone wants intelligence, romance, sensuality, sense of humour etc etc...and everyone can find it in that 'special' someone...(I think you can imagine those things in someone for a long time also..if you are determined to be attracted to them!)
