Sabbatino's Neopolitan... Just sauce, lots of cheese, and sliced tomato.... oh... and lots of garlic... When I take a pizza home from this place, my car smells like garlic for three days afterward... It's the "real" thing - and a diet coke, thanks.. |

Let's see . . . I like pepperoni, ground beef, mushrooms, bacon, and ham on mine. Extra cheese too!! How about crust PdV? I like thin, thick, round, square, original....butter cheese if I get to pick a flavor!! Give me a nice cold Coke with that pie!!! No real favorite place . . . each is unique around here. As with most things in life, I like the simple things...plain cheese pizza and a diet coke...I could eat sausage on mine..but prefer a good plain cheese...there's a place here that serves a great thin pizza..the cheese is wonderful and the sauce isn't too sweet! |

I'm afraid I'm with Kamla on this one. It wasn't always that way, though. About 15 years ago, I discovered this little hole-in-the-wall place in San Diego. A medium pizza weighed 72 pounds (71.85 without anchovies, which is the only thing I don't like on pizza), and you could just about go swimming in the cheese. I hesitate to use the word orgasmic in the same sentence with food, so let's just say it was really good. I've tried pizza a few times since then, but could no longer put up with the disappointment. California Pizza, a chain in Southern California, bakes theirs over open hickory flames, lending a very unique and not unpleasant taste. But it's not really pizza, of course. It's an Italian Quesadilla. What does pizza and bowling have in common, you ask? They are the only two things I've found that absolutely require beer... |

I would have to say Pepperoni. (not extra cheese, please). I like the all meat pizza's sometimes, if they leave off the hamburger(on pizza, ick). A mug of cold beer,a pitcher if there are two of us I like the garlic ones, with extra garlic(if there ISN'T two of us) Puh-lease,no smelly, dead fish. Now I am hungry...hey, anyone for pizza and beer? YUMMY!! Gossamerwings ;) |

Ok. . . pizza did you say???? WHAT HAVE YOU GOT????? Thick crust, thin crust, flavored crust, stuffed crust. . . Round? Square? Heart-shaped??? LOL Chicago style?? New York style?? Extra cheese?? Extra sauce?? What??? I guess you could say that I like Pizza!! I'll have almost anything except pineapple or olives (ICK!) or anchovies (Double ICK!!!) If it can go on a crust with cheese and sauce. . . I'll have it!!! And Ron? Severn? I think that you must not have had the RIGHT kind of pizza experience in your lives. . . because if you have, your feelings would be different. . . let me see what I can do. . . *Sven goes into the kitchen to prepare a wonderful Pizza just for Ron and Severn) In the meantime, I'll tell you that I like Coke, wine, and/or beer with my pizza!!! When should I expect that to be delivered??? And what do I tip the delivery person?? ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

K, still breathlessly running - though given some encouragement from a nice sideliner called Sven, suddenly sees her place of refuge... Ron, an Alleyed ally, beckons her from an alcove, where he stands in all his pizza-detesting glory, armed with a garbage tin lid and Beer cans - ready to battle the pizza fantatics... 'Thank the Lord' K cries.... |

Well - What DON'T you do when you go out for Pizza!!!!!!!!!! If you're like me and my friends we all meet up and the pizza place (and there are like 10-15 of us) grab a whole bunch of booths and jsut hang out. We'll be there for like 3 hours and then we usually go to other places from there. It's great!!!!!!!!! |

My favorite pizza is hawaiian with lots of ham, pineapple, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, cheese, and olives. I first sampled this sinfully delicious treat in San Diego in 1976 at a place called Vesuvio's Pizza PLace. I love Heineken Dark with pizza or a St. Pauli's Girl though most of the time I am stuck with coke cuz I am the designated driver. Poetry~ Words falling on paper, painting a dream. Shawna R. BAcon, Cheese, tomato, pineapples, mushrooms sorry I left my sense of adventure at home. Drink, Whiskey with ice and a Pepsi Max (no sugar). THe whiskey waits until at least an hour after the pizza, while eating the pizza a nice cup of cool milk and I can bring that with me. By the way who is paying for all this I left my wallet in...the sahara desert. So I guess we cann just charge it to Ron. why must we pray screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith |

Naw.....Canadian Bacon, Pineapple, and Jalapenos on a stuffed crust pizza, slightly underdone (so the stuffing stays in the crust) accompanied by 2 2-liter bottles of Dr. Pepper, the true Nectar of the Gods. |

Sabbatino's has a great chicken and spinach pizza too.. and their food is sooooooooo good, they don't even deliver - You want it, you go get it... Fortunately it's just around he corner ... |

PdV...when you say no 'Angel slapping' am included? Not one of you guys mentioned my favorite topping for pizza (or at least I don't think you did)...SHRIMP! It's awesome and the only place even close to where I live is Tommy's Pizza Corner and it's Sicilian . Anyway, the best pizza place around here is San's with pepperoni, with a peach tea snapple of course . But now I'm moving from near San's and the closest pizza place is Pizzabella. Their pizza isn't great but their Honey Barbecue wings are the best wings in the state (literally). What I research these things ? When we were in Maryland a few years ago my uncle ordered us a pizza and it was too big to fit through is door (3ft) When me and my friends go out for pizza (which we don't do much anymore), we just like to hang out too. What, I wonder, are the odds of two people in this discussion talking about the same place? WildChild, you will be happy to hear that Vesuvio's was still alive and well in the early 80's. Both stores. And I will quickly add you have a much better memory than do I - the name only rang a bell when I read your post. |

Best pizza experience [no hoots please] is the time my Mom and I had a pizza apiece in Shakey's Pizza Parlor, 1969...pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives over the very best crust [just right, none of this thick, thin, stuffed stuff]...a LARGE Pepsi and all of the laughs we could share. Worst pizza experience [yes, there can be a bad pizza experience] was with my fiance/now/ex-husband when he and his friend ordered one side of the large pizza w/anchovies and during the middle of the meal, spun the platter and I got an anchovie instead of a pepperoni [yes, it was dark in this place]. Had I been smart, he would not have ended up an ex-husband. He would have just been an ex-fiance. Sunny ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Mmm, pizza Mine has to be pepperoni or else plain cheese, anything else I will pick off. Extra cheese is always good too. Not too much sauce, either. What to drink with it....hmmm....Pepsi (because Coke is disgusting), milk, iced tea...almost anything goes I guess. ~sky I'm in charge, and I say question authority! |
