I have read several times in replies that people are reading but not replying...and there are quite a few poets who post on the fly....and then there are those who are just too busy.  It takes more than a handful of poets to liven up the place ..  Lord knows I tried, and I'm kind of discouraged...to say the least.  Things change, sadly sometimes.

People come.. and people go, to live their real-time lives.. and they come back.. and they run off to real time again.. and again.. year after year.  That's PipTalk reality.  We're simply happy to see everyone as they return with more life stories to share with us..

Good let alone great
poets by nature
make nothing worthwhile

Do not allow yourselves to be discouraged ... come in when you can and let's go on, inspiring those who peek in silently sometimes.

Love to all,

Margherita

I'm as bad as anyone for popping in once or twice a year. I like to read and catch up on the news. Always sad to hear of an old friend passing on.
I joined here in early 2000 when my picture was numbered # 2500 or so, and a large amount of those people were active at the time. You posted a poem and before the day was over it was on the next page after 10 - 15 replies. Lots of games and activities in the discussion areas as well.
Times are changed I think, the writing craze hit the population like CB Radio in the 70s. The people with a true Passion in Poetry will be be around for a long time and if you're one... God Bless

It's quiet because I am lurking once again... after soooooo many years.

I found these hollowed halls in 1999....wow 16 years ago can you believe that?? I was here constantly for a couple of years and really learned from some amazing talents that also lived here, or so it seemed. Now I pop in from time to time because no matter what life throws at me PIP still lives in my heart. There are some poets here that I have to drop in and read because they are incredible talents. I hope that tread continues but as Nan said life happens.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes ha

Been many years since my last post and peeking in. Time has a way of slipping by letting life get in the way. I wonder about Earth Angel, Marge Tindel and so many others. I think of Chipmunk often. Though I have not written much in the past few years I am appreciative that this forum/site exists so that I can see new poets and visit the old.

Best to everyone and let the poetry flow.

Am just as guilty for leaving many years ago, but will always be around peeking in, reading, posting a poem or two.  Glad my old poems are still here undeleted

Thank God for the blue pages.

Thank you, Ron, for the many years of keeping these halls alive.

I needed to come back, even though still have some issues with computers, but I feel just now as if I had never left.

Missing many, I had to take a hiatus, but thank you EmmaRose, for reminding me that many are missed, and just because they are gone, doesn't mean that the rest of us shouldn't press on.

An early Happy Thanksgiving to all!
