While most hurricanes come and go with relative quickness --- hours, not days, as of 8am this morning my family has had constant hurricane/tropical storm conditions with almost non-stop wind and rain since Tuesday night, Aug 28, and still, this morning, pouring rain with continuous 24 mph wind gusting to 30 - 35 mph, with it expected to increase about 10 mph on both fronts and a 90+ percent change of more rain. And by the way, didn't go through the eye, so not even the relief That supplis! I noticed, on the Weather Channel this morning, though, there may be an end in sight sometime tonight, or tomorrow. My family is praying for that...the constant rain and wind is beginning to fray nerves, among the other damage they can't even begin to access yet. Thank goodness for text-messaging ... voice calls not working but text-messages haven't failed us yet. Sometimes low-key is still the best. j |
