Life is strange! I was in a tired haze here at work, and typed in the URL for this forum by muscle memory alone. And I'd found myself in my auto-pilot like state clicking on my old haunts on this forum. Like discussion, lounge, etc. Then I snapped to and realized I hadn't been here in a very long time. I almost feel a feeling of guilt. Given that 10 years ago I was on here probably 50 times a day, updating, etc. And even moreso, snapping back into my reality I'd quickly remembered how many people I had met off this board that have / had seriously changed my life and added to it. Alot of those people ended up living in my very city too, surprisingly / amazingly. And some, did not. Lots of life lessons, friendships, enjoyments and growths sparked up from a simple suggestion from a friend to post some poetry on this poetry site, a decade ago. I never had any idea what would become of joining this site. It's amazing / baffling / strange all the things that came about because of this place! I miss you all (current and past members), and thank you! Back to work I gooooo... |
