http://huntsville.about.com/library/blank/blpicflowerbeds2.htm Just click on the link, and dream a little bit of Spring. And um, I suspect this year a lot more people will be observing Candlemas. |

We'd be better off if it hadn't warmed up over the last few days. As the "mist" started to fall this morning, the temps allowed it to melt just slightly, then the winds picked up and froze over the mist...we have very icy footing, with a dusting of snow now falling. We're supposed to get "more snow" but as of now? It's slickly dangerous enough. |

Massive Snow Storm Coming! WOW! Make sure you have candles, food, some kind of auxiliary heat, and all that "hunkering down stuff." All the way to New England. Incredible! |

No kidding Nan - I can't believe even the beauty of Cape Cod is going to be hit by this snow and ice storm. Weird weather because you guys down there always joke about us "igloo dwellers" in Canada, and we haven't even had any snow on the ground. Lots of cold, sunshine, and intermittent rain though. Crossing my fingers. |

My family and friends in Conn. have had it. Roofs falling in; snow on top of snow so the plows do not have a place to throw what they push off. They are going to large lots to dump it, but need the right equipment as the regular plows are the height of the snow piles. They are selling "Roof Rakes" as fast as they can make them and young men are making a fortune raking roofs.Something I never hear of and I lived there until 1989. They have been hit with snow, then ice and sleet then snow. They are now worrying about their cellars when it melts and are having sump pumps putit. This one coming is going to be just enough to really cause a bigger problem. Many I know are older, some ill and it is hard to keep the drive ways clear in case of emergiences. Face book is really good for getting the latestnews from home. |

I worry too. I tell everyone to please take care--knowing I wouldn't even begin to know how to take care of a situation buried under all that snow. Good to see ya, lady. I found the bed while I was looking for some place unusual to rest my head. Really. |
