... in celebration of our right to vote. I have read so many political commentaries in PiP (even participated in one - which I continue to consider one of my low points here). The fact is we are fortunte to have the ability to have a say in how our country is run. Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarians - all should come together tomorrow and share a spirit of pride. When I cast my ballot, I truly try to make decisions that will have a positive effect on everyone. It's a huge responsibility made even more huge by the lack of participation. When we don't vote, we give people, like me, too much power. I hope to see you at the polls - and feel the energy of each of you as I listen to the news reports of the results of our decisions. Join me in our national celebration ... please Vote!. Alison |

Ali... I went in at 7:45 a.m. I was the 50th voter for our district in our city...an hour later my husband was the 102nd voter. THIS, for us, is a marvelous turnout in our area. We're lucky if we get 200 by the end of the day. To know that there was 102 by 8:45 a.m. is a good thing! |
