I'm writing a paper for school on how poetry is promoted in North America, now and in the future. If you have some ideas on how poetry is promoted now and how effective the promotion is, and how it might be promoted in the future, please respond. Your ideas and comments will be much appreciated. Thanks. |

You will find in your travels, a host of: Public poetry readings Public poetry contests Poetry posting forums Poetry online sites This site happens to be a leader in the online poetry world, with approximately 13,000 members in the forums alone - and the main site, http://netpoets.com - which has hosted 161,513,412 visits, averaging 26,643 visits daily, 29,333 in the past 24 hours... and lots more statistics that would more than convince you that poetry is a thriving literary medium, and the Internet is its primary contemporary outlet. That website lead me to this one actually, does that mean that this site, as in pipTalk is the leader in online poetry? Also, Mars2253. Poetry is apart of almost every genre of music. Consider that in your writing. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde |
