Well I just have a few quesions about some things that I'm working on, I guess you could say. It's concerning wicca. (technically not wicca but it applies) Drawing Down the Moon...by Margot Adler Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practictioner....by Scott Cunningham Buckland's Complete Guide to Witchcraft...Raymond Buckland The Spiral Dance....Starhawke (one of my favorites!) Earth Magic...Marion Weinstein The White Goddess...Gerald Gardner and an excellent guidegook is also The Magician's Companion (A Practical &Encyclopedic Guide to Magical & Religious Symbolism) ...by Bill Whitcomb there's much more and a lot of good web sites..but a word of caution? Also, check out Silver Ravenwolf's "To Stir a Magic Cauldron" and "To Ride a Silver Broomstick" (at least I think those are the titles......) My dad is Wiccan, and his copy of Buckland's is heavily annotated. But I would abstain from buying any so-called "Book of Shadows" or "Book of Counted Shadows" as these are traditionally created by the practicioner of things that work for him/her. Also, check for "The Olde Crone's Booke of Wisdom" though I know that one is hard to find. Good hunting, and may you find what you seek. Alicat |
