Sigh.  I opened this...

and cringed.

I immediately knew which song was "mine"...

and it's a very, very old, children's favorite...

in fact, a cricket sang it.

I have a couple.

The consistent one: You May Be Right, Billy Joel.

At the obvious times: B.J. Thomas... Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head.

Though, I've often debated on interjecting Kronk's personal theme song from his little adventure in The Emperor's New Groove...

"Imagine"...John Lennon
"Beautiful Day" and "Peace on Earth"...U2

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow"...Judy Garland

"Old Man River" is another favorite

ok, LOL, so add these to the mix..."Greensleeves" and "Killing me Softly"

"Fingernails" (or "Imperfection" for that matter) by Skillet

"Funeral in His Heart" by October Project (If you change he to she)

"Sad Clown" or "Frail" by Jars of Clay

"Smile at Life Again" by the Elms

I have quite a few theme songs. I think they could probably be played at different points in the day or on different days of the week.

the list is as follows

Zebra- John Butler Trio
Eriatarka- The Mars Volta
When the Night Fills my Song- Bedouin Soundclash
Summer Romance- Incubus
Morning Mood- Edvard Grieg (put a light swing on it)
The Sweater Song- Weezer
Cuts Marked in the March of Men- Coheed and Cambria
Fourth of July- The Mint

It's a list of bands that no one may know but the songs can go so well with my days. By the way, GG,I know of most of those bands and the Elms hold a special place in my heart.

Ok now the two tunes up there that Kari and K posted - sheesh - tear jerkers for sure.

I have to sing both parts of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers"  - had that on a 45 and "The Morning After", gosh reminds me of "The Poseidon Adventure" - the good one, with Gene Hackman and Shelley Winters.

And what K just said right there reminds me of a family saying:  I'm not sleeping, I'm just resting my eyes (after drinking, of course)

Man, my song for today is from "Tommy"  when he awakens and runs . . .

"I'm Free"

Too Pooped To Pop (Chuck Berry)

If you knew what I knew down your jaw would drop,
But you’re drop dead down on your pillow, You’re too pooped to pop.
We’re out of juice and sleep induced so now this song will stop,
Because were too tired to play anymore, we’re too pooped to...

Popatupa popatupa popatupop pop, we’re too pooped to pop,
Popatupa popatupa popatupop pop, we’re too pooped to pop.

Go! Go! Go! (no! no! no!) Go! Go! Go!
