I was friends with this girl for years and then ended on bad terms. I have not seen her in a couple of years. She called me today to find out how the kids and I were doing. I am not sure whether to be friends with her again or to just brush her off. I told her I would call her tonight. What do you think?

How would you feel or what would you do if an old friend contacted you? You were friends for years and then the friendship just faded away but she is making the attempt to be friends???

I would say, she took the first step. Offer your hand...cautiously, if you are afraid of being bitten. If she talks a bit, and then asks for a favor...

well, THEN you know where you stand.

But maybe she is trying to make amends? Perhaps it was her new year's resolution? Wouldn't it be nice if you met her halfway to see what's what?

Life is too short. Call her. Friends are to be treasured. So what if things don't turn out the way you would like them? At least the two of you tried. What a blessing that is. Good luck. hugs, Chris

Thanks for the advice. Your right....Life is too short. I will call her tonight and see how it goes. I just don't like when things go bad and I am afraid of that.

It actually went really well. I am glad I called her. We got somethings straightend out and misunderstandings understood. I think the only reason I was so scared is because in my whole life I have contacted two friends that I used to be friends with and they just blew me off. I was really hurt, but I got over it.
