Especially ones that resemble large superheroes.

Tch.

I wonder if they'd let you rid 'em, maybe with laser guns?

Well Karen, manatees get around you know. Everywhere...they're everywhere, honestly. (In fact, I hear say they have wings). Now, if you ask me, that makes them the ideal mode of transport.

I'm truly hoping one can timewarp on them too.

Wanna come?

I'm not disturbed enough, you want I should start looking for flying manatees?

heh.

But your thread did bring to mind a story...
twinkling eyes...

I went to a Celtic fest awhile ago and perchanced upon a game these men were playing. It involved these brawny he men types, picking up telephone poles and running with them, to see who could toss one the farthest.

I found that very compelling.

There's no point to my story other than, you keep ride the manatees--I prefer the pole games.

And now Karen is seeing men tossing the Caber.

Hey witch! That's a highland game. (emphasis on high) You know that there's not much to play with in Scotland when something like THAT becomes a game!

(Flying manatees in blue tights? I gotta go find something to read)

It was a dark and stormy night. The lightning flashes were growing both more frequent and intense with each passing moment. His hands shaking with anticipation, Dr. Noella Mindless makes the final connection between the two large vats of fluid, one of which contained a manatee and the other a human clone. Lurking in the shadows was Snoop Scoop, ace investigative reporter. Slowly it dawned upon the former Inquirer protege' the nature of the evil Doctor's intent. About the time the bulb went off in the reporter's head a lightning strike surged through the cables and into the vats, and the fluid began to boil. The vats suddenly burst open, and through the rising steam the reporter saw it. Face devoid of color and moon-eyed he screamed out a new name that would forever attach itself to the new life-form.

Ohhh the Humanateeeeeeeeee....

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.
