In the spirit and tradition of topic contradiction, I feel it my duty to create this topic, in contradiction to Marie's "humiliating moments" thread. So what are your most cherished memories? ![]() |

This question is a really hard one. Okay, here goes... I have an older brother (18) and an older sister (20) and the times we all spend together as a family are few and far between. The most cherished moments for me are when we are all together as a family laughing and having a great time. It might sound corny, but that's my answer ![]() --Marie I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am. |

I don't know......anything before the age of 14 was filled with complete ignorance towards the world. I don't really count those years to be a part of my life in any significant way, just a building up of blocks to inevitably get to the starting point. Once I reached 14 I've been living in a hell haha.....hasn't stopped yet either. A lot of things have happened in such a short time span to me I really couldn't answer this question well. I can't say FRIENDSHIP or anything pertaining to that because I have no clue what a friend is. I moved 6 times before the age of 10. I never had long lasting friendships.....Uhhhh......I guess I'll just have to generalize my most cherished memories into LAUGHTER. Whenever I laugh really hard it's a memory I'll never forget. ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Making love in the Autumn breeze, at night, on a path in the woods---making love under a shelter during a summer thunderstorm in the park--making love in the fog at night on a golf course---mak--OH. ![]() |

Meeting my near-best friend when I was 16. My 16th birthday. The summers of '93 and '98--just carefree, fun times of my life, before everything went out of whack. Finding my pink carnation (can't say too much more than that, sorry, but it really is special). As well as another flower.... ![]() |

My favorite memory( and the one I draw most on for patience when I need it) was when I was about 7 or 8 and my grandmother was in the middle stages of Hodgkins disease. I am left handed and she was right and she had taken it upon herself to teach me to embroider. It was a slow and arduous task for her, though at the time I did not see that. All I saw was that my grandmother loved me and wanted to teach me something that we could do together. She died when I was 14 and to this day, 30 years later, I miss her terribly, but I learned to embroider and every time I pick up needlework, I can still feel her right there, teaching me patience and love. How can you save me? |

K. Ready? hmmm...lets see. It was not so long ago...maybe a year... I had just had an overwhelmingly depressing day, and I had skipped practice because of it...I came home and then it started to rain...in the middle of winter...So i went outside and just stood there...I can't really explain what happened, but it was exhilarating...and I try never to forget how clean I felt...Thanks for sparking the memory, Allan... ~Carly "The eye sees a thing more clearly in dreams than the imagination awake." |

My Dad was never an affectionate man, he just got on with the job of bringing us up. I lost him to cancer about 2 1/2 years ago. My most cherished memory would have to be the day, while he was in hospital, that he told me he loved me. That was the first time I remember him saying it to me, as an adult. Thanks for the reminder, Allan. ![]() Dee I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life. a brand |

Recent: April 11th, 1997. The day my oldest son, became a United States Marine. Middle: When my wife asked me out on our first date. Distant: My Grandmother's cookies. "The poet is the priest of the invisible." |
