Hello everyone =) I haven't been around much lately but was catching up on posts the other night when I wandered into the Spiritual section of pip and read some of the poetry there...which lead me to believe that most poets here are of some sort of Christianity? I was just wondering, as I've taken quite an interest in religion lately...what religion are you? Or do you not follow any one? Any atheist or agnostics here? Asalaam 'alaikum, (peace be upon you), Tai |

So...as atheists, do you believe in anything? Do you follow any sort of spiritual beliefs/traditions/ideas? |

I just realized my comment could be misinterpreted and might offend some, so I'm going to clarify. What I meant to say is that I currently don't like to take things on faith. I'm still at the stage of exploration in my life. Certainly there are faiths to which I adhere, but not one primary faith that overwrites anything contrary... I'm just willing to read and learn. I don't follow faith right now, just my brain. Faith is a fine invention |

I believe that every human being has faith in something or someone, whether it be in God, themselves, a philosophy, etc. My faith is in Jesus Christ as my substitutionary atonement, satisfying a holy God's judgment upon me as a sinner, allowing me to stand blameless before God on the merits of Christ alone. From this past Sunday's sermon: Which of the following takes greater faith? In the beginning...God created all things from nothing or In the beginning...there was nothing and then it (nothing) exploded! |

must agree with brian.. I don't follow religion, because there are too many faults in all of them. I don't believe that all of the world's answers can be found in any book. or anywere for that matter... so yeah, my friends ask me how I can bellieve in nothing and I say: the same way you can beleive in religion. It bothers me when people try to convert you to their own beliefs [This message has been edited by Wind (07-24-2003 11:36 AM).] |
