I tried to learn how to dance with one of those foot step charts but I always seemed to end up in a tangled heap on the floor

Seriously, y'all. It's NOT that hard. It's pretty much just, step back, step forward, three steps to the right, step forward, step back, three steps to the left, and so on. Unless you wanna get into all the fancy stuff, it's easy as anything. Actually, if you REALLY wanted to learn it, they have movies for sale and rent that make it super easy.

Stuff like the Tango, however? Or how about the Venetian Waltz? THOSE I gave up on. :\
