Well I live on one of the main ski destination resort mountains in British Columbia in Canada, and they have not had enough snow for a mouse on toothpicks to ski on, seriously!

This is what I normally see out my window, and these peaks are called  "The Lions", but right now they are very bald lions.

I saw the news last night and it said that in New York two airports were shut, and I saw people trying to dig cars out.  I heard from a friend on the East Coast she was snowed in, and our skiiers are praying for that white stuff here in Vancouver.  So how much is it snowing where you live?

We are the stopping point for a lot of stranded travellers. I know it's hard when you have to strip off your parka and your sweater and play golf in our 75 degree weather. We're having a shortage of ice cubes for the lemonade drinks too..

Really, I do feel badly for everyone stuck because of the storm. I remember those times well....that's why I live here!

I just found this poem that Nan posted to show the snow in Cape Cod!  Boy we could sure use some of her snow.  I am serious, the owners of the ski resorts here are dying a financial death this year, as they had to refund thousands of purchased ski passes and that is so sad.  However, we can play up there and walk around, but that is it!

Sharon, boy that is really hard to take 75 degree weather!

Sharon..We've only got about four inches...
but you're welome to it!
Come this time of year we here in 'the banana belt',
(across the river from Detroit), are ready for Spring!
Will that be C.O.D.?
Hey!  Maybe the ones on the east coast
could sell their snow on ebay!!

You can have all my snow too, Sharon. Over the weekend we got 21 inches of the fluffy stuff here in Philadelphia. Combined, I spent about 4 hours shoveling and digging out my car. I have had enough already! Anyway, It would look much lovelier on your Mountains than on our streets for sure.

Correction: The snowfall in Northeast Philly where I live actually measured in at 24.5 inches on Sunday, in addition to the 3 inches on Saturday, for a total of 27.5 for this past weekend. So far this winter we have had a total of 42 inches, more than twice the normal amount. You can have it all, Sharon!

Karilea, you can have as much as you want! I can't send it, though. My arms are so sore from shoveling that I couldn't lift another scoopful. But you and Sharon are more than welcome to come here and help yourself to as much as you would like. But be sure to bring a BIG open-bed truck (or two or three or five or six or...! My neighbors and I would be ever so grateful! And we won't even charge you a cent, you can have all you want for FREE! And we'll make tea and biscuits for everyone!

KristieSue, I think it's about time we head for the Southern climes! I have had it too. Every day is a unique struggle...just to walk without risking life and limb.

From the mouth of our illustrious mayor:

Sunday: "We will get to all the streets. Every street will be cleared, you have my word. Just give us a little more time. We'll work around the clock and we will get to all the secondary and side streets tonight."

Monday: "This is a massive storm. Please be patient. It will take longer than we thought. We will need another 24 hours to complete snow removal of secondary and side streets, but they will be done."

Tuesday Morning: "Unfortunately we will not be able to get to all of the secondary roads and side streets, so just be understanding and have a sense of humor about it."

Footnote: "All city offices and buildings will be open and all city workers must report as scheduled."  Gee, thanks Boss for your compassion and understanding in the wake of this massive storm that proved too much for your snow removal crews to handle, so that we could safely travel to work.

I can't wait for election day to show off my sense of humor!

Sharon, you can have all the snow you can carry. Nan and I have tons ... in fact 27.5 inches worth on top of the 15 or 20 inches we already had on the ground. The whole Northeast got walloped and set an all time record in the Boston area.

This is a part of my backyard. The black stick in the center of the picture is a shepherd's hook that is 5 feet tall!

In order for our dog to be able to walk around the backyard, we had to shovel paths for her. She is approximately 3 feet tall.

So dear lady, bring your HUGE shopping cart and come and take it ALL away!

Well, Mysteria.....I live in Eugene, Oregon and it doesn't snow here at all.....at least since I moved here a little over three years ago....

I'm from Anchorage, Alaska and there isn't a drop of snow on the ground there either....but, that is strange....but not too strange cuz, it's not very far from where you live!!!!

Hope you get some snow soon Mysteria
