does anyone have a name for their muse? I have two- one for my mysterious side, and one for my down to earth side. I call them Syrinia and Luna. (yeah, I am very dramatic with names) Anyone else have names? I have found that mine change after a while. They change as I change, really. My old muse was Serina, and allthough I miss her, they come and go as you age, and I have learned to accept that.

My muses are all known by their serial numbers, muses #0001 and #0003 are the most influential though

I call my muse Fickle.
She is always migrating from body to body and nook to nook.  Sometimes she wones a while in tree  or just in a leaf or a vein of a leaf,  a man, a lady, a man and lady at once, love-making, or just a kiss.  Sometimes in darkness.  She makes new lifehouse for herself as she pleases and I see her twinkling inside like a star, completly unware of my existance!
In her tours and movements she is very much like the wind

Muse? Oh that little fuzzy thing that used to bounce around the room when I wrote poetry. She was purple, and had the cutest little eyes... sorry, got carried away there... Yeah, she's taken an extended vacation to Atlantis. She used to come back for visits, but I haven't seen her around anywhere lately. Meh.
Oi and he name was Bill. Very insistant on that one, she was.

Lol...dun call me Android! M'name's Alex!

Anyways...back when I was knee high to a grasshopper, I thought to myself, "That would be SOOOO cool to know someone who lives in Delaware!" And ever since then, I haven't met a single person who lives there; untill now!

And don't make it sound bad...heck, we all can do that about our homelands:

Yeah, Manitoba is pathetic! All we have is murky brown river-water....flat lands and The Guess Who.

Lol, okay---that sucked but you know wst I mean!

*grin* I think I spend too much time rehearsing for the play... This is the first thing that came to mind when you said 'muse'...

"'The thrice three Muses mourning for the death
Of Learning, late deceased in beggary'"(V.i.52-53). Midsummer Night's Dream.

I always thought she was me.

She won't tell mer her name. I've asked her nearly a dozen times.

But she wants you all to know that she is waving.

Feel special, she never waves to me.

Wind, a lot of PIP users live in Manitoba.  In fact, QuietlyDying and I both live in Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba.     Sure it gets cold here, but not the coldest in Canada.  Still more than you could handle, though.

As for muses, I guess you could call them that.  I don't have voices that whisper in my head.... actually I DO, and they're always just saying things I've heard before, cliches and whatnot.  So I actually try to dodge the voices in my head when I write and do so with as much objectivity as possible.

But if you mean a state of inspiration, then yes, those come and go.  I wouldn't name them, though.

I have two muses, one for my poetry and the other for my artwork.  They're twin sisters.  Catherine helps with my poetry and Victoria, with my art.  They're very lovely, stand 5'2" tall and have auburn hair that grows to their waists.  They also dress alike and their dresses are pale blue, trimmed in antique lace.

My poem, "Candles in the Rain" speaks of them.
