Are evil. Personally, they scare the crap outta me. Don't laugh yet, it gets better. I have memories of a CALF chasing me and my horse Shammie across the field. A CALF, ladies and gentlemen. A BABY cow. (for those of you not versed in cow talk lol - forgive me, I'm an idiot tonight) Okay, think of it... what other animal would be stupid enough to get hoof and mouth disease? Like, DUH. The world's beef economy (okay, not BC's ) just about collapsed (okay okay, just England's) because the stupid British cows decided to be STUPID and COWISH. (Nothing against the British members here, I'm just not impressed with their cows) I was okay with it until Canada's rugby team had all their equipment confiscated because of possible contamination. All because of COWS. Stupid animals. Yes, I eat beef. With great enthusiasm.
Sheshe okay, I'm outta here... for now

Ok, cows aren't that bad. They're disgusting, but they aren't scary... I think. I own a cow! heh... It lives in Alberta. It's a cool cow.

I think the OWNERS of the cows could be stupid but cows themselves are harmless beasts who do nothing but try to help you grow into a healthy adult. Without cows we'd all be drinking goat's milk! Blech!

Sorry, Sharon, but without cows I'd still be drinking black coffee and Diet Coke. Milk is for babies, cooking, and once in a blue moon, cereal. NOT drinking!

Cows are evil? (Laughing)
When I was born, the first place they took me when I came home from the hospital was to the barn where my grandparents were milking. Years ago there was a picture of me and an old holstein cow from that excursion... used to make me laugh...

growing up I had numerous pet calves... had cows that would follow me around in the field wanting their heads rubbed... I've milked, herded, loaded, and yes butchered, but never once did I find a cow evil..

sure some have horns and most all have tails, but that doesn't make them devilish..
they in fact are quite social...and being a herd animal..tend to congregate together as if at a Sunday social and chew their cud.

Now I have met some that were mean... but I don't think we ever raised one that was mean... they are a lot like people. If you raise them to be scared and are mean to them...chances are they are going to grow up to be just like you taught them...

This is so funny. I just had to come in though, cause well, it said cows. Just cows, and I thought, what could one possibly say about cows, but here it is, we are talking about cows. So anyway, not to be bovine or anything, but I love milk!! I can't drink it anymore, but up until about 2 years ago I drank at least a gallon of it every 3 days. I loved it with pizza especially.

It's almost like I can't imagine anyone NOT liking milk.

And now look, I've added to the cows thread. I just couldn't help myself.

Well in answer to your question what other animals get foot and mouth disease, pigs, goats, deer, anything with hooves really, but anyway you are not the only person with a cow phobia, my friends mum is mortally afraid of them can't even stand to look at pictures of them,

!!! Cows can be so sweet!!!
And I do not eat meat, so cows never seem to be bothered by my presence. But I did encounter one really ornry bull.
But now that I think about it, he was two legged!
Have a great day.

ok, i live in a farm with ALOT of cows. There so nice and easy to talk to when your sad about something, and trust me they'll comfort you. I've went down to the barn with my steer, I take to the fair(4-H) and i've cryed my eyes out to them because of some guy or some problems i was having at home.. And it's like he understood what I was going threw ( now don't think i'm crazy or physco or anything .. cause I usually don't talk to animals) but he rubbed his head on my shoulder and layed his head on me. He was so my favorite steer i ever had, he would follow me around everywhere, i didn't even have to hold the leesh. They might jump around or something but thats just cuz they wanna play, I mean if they'd hurt you, say break your foot or something. It's not like they mean too or anything. There just like a little kid wanting to play but there a lil big for that lol! But cows are like the sweetest things. I love them. I don't see how you can be afraid of a cow, they won't hurt you. If they don't know you, they'll run for you. There just as scared as you are usually. Anyways thats my input from experience!
Oh yea, and the tiny baby ones, are they just so adorable! I have herefords. There red and white. So perty!
