You know, the ones who are 28 and still dressing up every year?

I'm sporting a furry, feathery, sexy barbarian chick costume of my own design this year.  Will I see anyone else when I'm trick-or-treating?

(EDIT:  Sentences are hard ...)

Wish I was, but nowhere special to go this year.
Happy Halloween.

After much thought--I ditched the catholic school girl outfit--a friend here at passions suggested that I perhaps I shouldn't feed the fantasies of the demented.
And considering who I live with, I agreed.

So...I haven't decided which witch I will be as of yet--I've got quite an array of hats. And? I will set up TWO altars...one for display, and my private one out back in the garden. I'm trying to keep it low key this year...just a SMALL bonfire...

Not me - unless I want to go as a tomato, or a pumpkin, or something else of a round nature.  I am, however, sporting a rather interesting array of colored puffy paint from trying to make a Tooth Fairy costume.  (tooth fairy??  how did she come up with THAT?)

Im still young but for some reason dressing up never was my thing. The only reason i dressed up til i was like 12 was cause my mom made me.

I WAS going to go with a bunch of friends aspart of the Scooby Doo gang, but it didn't work out for various reasons. I'm actually thinking of just chilling out at home and getting some much needed-to-be-done research done. I might go as a fairy princess though... I might borrow one of my friends' dresses. Haven't decided yet.

not going out not dressing up, I went through my Marilyn Manson phase once (but at that I only wore the tshirt and a pair of black jeans, no makeup...hardly gothic). Maybe I'll put on that Marilyn manson t shirt listen to Antichrist superstar and mosh around my bedroom, that will be enough excitement for me.

Maybe I'll peel off my skin and walk around a skeleton?

Or, more horrifying,
put someone else's on.

I was never fond of this holiday. As a kid, we dressed up because everyone did. I've been to exactly ONE Halloween party (went as Medusa with rubber snakes tied into a black wig). When my kids were little we didn't do much either - it's too scary to let them get stuff from strangers. I guess the 'mall crawl' is the way to go nowadays. And the stores buy the same candy so the kids don't get a good variety.

Besides, by the time Labor Day is over, they've got the Christmas stuff up and I'm focused on cards and wrapping paper!

Skyfyre- 28 and still dressing up??? How about 38 and still dressing up. I usually either dress up and hang around the house giving out candy, or I dress up in something to match one of the kids and go out with them. And a suggestion?? Do the research in the morning and afternoon, and the princess at night.

Serenity- (imagining the school girl outfit)... And a SMALL bonfire?? at Samhain?? uh... what do you call Small??

Nicole- You have GOT to post a photo of the tooth fairy get up somewhere and give us a chance to enjoy it also!! lol

bsquirrel- THAT is a scary thought!! lol

BTW, all... I'm soliciting suggestions for my costume this year... whadda ya got?

I think my best costume yet was about 4 yrs ago.  I dressed up as a Jamaican (ended up looking like Aunt Jemima).  I was selling Mary Kay and had foundation for darker skin.  I put it over every (well almost every) inch of my body.  Then I put on an outfit to fit, filled a basket with candy, and walked around town GIVING candy away LOL  I still have that picture around SOMEWHERE...I'll have to scan it this week and show y'all LOL  I had a bit of a problem though.  My hometown tends to be a little racist (I am NOT though), so along the way I heard comments, some refused to give me candy, and others just gave dirty looks.  I can pass for a teen yet (hahahaaaa), so sometimes I do the baby look.  I never got told about being too old to go out though :-p  Hey, we ALL love candy, right? LOL

I might not go anywhere for haloween. It reminds me too much of that movie I saw of the Salem witch trials. That got me soo mad! All the pointless blaming and ridiculous judges, I wanted to just whack 'em all dead in the face. okae, deep breath... take it easy... I need my aspirn now...

Hehe.. just found out something worthwile to do in Halloween... I'll go around trick or treating, but instead of candy, I'll be asking for donations for UNICEF. Might seem like a small thing to do, but it makes a difference.

I went to a party last weekend, and went as a priest... for the people there that knew me (especially the ladies) it was the biggest gag of the evening...
Trick-or-treat around here is tomorrow night (I know, I know... go figure), and I plan on handing out candy as a burnt out 70's rock star... foer the few of you that know me on here, I hope the giggles make your day go by more smoothly.

This is my first year not going trick or treating. I moved to the city for University so I don't think I should go. Where I grew up it was such a small town that even the adults went. It was more of a night to see the community rather than get candy. I sure will miss it!

I think my boyfriend and I are just going to go to the movies. Alien: the Director's Cut is opening. Should be a good movie.

Happy Halloween
