This time I need a little help. What exactly is free verse? I've seen people post it, and I just would like to know... What is it!

I'm not good with the technical terms of poetry, but from my understanding free verse is when you basically write with no particular form or rhyme in mind. I always write free verse styled poetry. I feel stifled when trying to write in rhymes or by some specific form, although I've met other people who have difficulty writing without some structure. I guess it's just an individual thing.
