where letters act like numbers and numbers don’t mean a thing it gets confusing here a jibber jabber jibber jabber of vocal chords slamming against each other so hard, they cry it’s a clitter clatter clitter clatter of pans in your head a five year old hits ‘em hard a smile a smile all the while coming from the little boy’s white face welcome to calculus kids you sell your soul, sell your soul to me by 96x=1253 find that out, find that out for me too easy, too easy, too easy for you get over it, shut up frank numbers are letters get in the door and sit down what’s z equal? z equals the square root of 26y ha you’re wrong come in, come in, come in [This message has been edited by raevynsbreath (06-16-2003 08:36 PM).] |

Rae, this was a light and enjoyable read and I sure can relate. I liked the third verse "the clitter, clatter of pans in your head". LOL forrest |

I thought I had the answer, then I don't think I carried the 1. Anyway, I really enjoyed this one. P.S. I hate math. But that's okay. Disclaimer: The preceding statement is just my opinion. |

Hi Raevynsbreath! This is my first post on this site, lucky you! Anyway, I'm a math teacher, so I just HAD to read this. I thought it was very creative and really demonstrated the frustration most people have with math (especially the "hard" math!) However, the references you made to actual math seem to be more related to Algebra rather than Calculus, but I still enjoyed the poem...sorry, please forgive my math mind, it sometimes invades my poetic one.
