The sky a black blue like midnight
and pavement illuminated by mysteries
like corked bottles that don’t open.
I’m but a dirty pear that reeks of daydreams,
and you are an orange-
unsmiling, unwinking, unnerving in a black blue like midnight sky,
beauty like the white dots that twinkle blindly,
and I wish you would smile;
only craters cave in.

Were you to explode would
fragments that rain in flaming meteorites
scar our skins and burn shadows in the wind.
How exposed amidst the debris
with tears and fear
to taste your moon dust ashes like burned chocolate.

Yet tonight I will rinse the pear;
tonight I will stare into the black blue reality of simple splendor
till grayness steals the cosmic sky.

“ Anyone? ”

I think someone should ; but not me, I have never seen a lunar eclipse.

If I did, I don’t remember it .

Hey,

It seems all over the place:

pears, oranges, uncorked bottles, stars, meteors, midnight etc.

What about concentrating on one?

Just a thought.
