By God, it is! I haven't read Denise Levortov in years, but clearly, there was a direct brain impression made at the time. Absolutely "stolen lines." Mea culpa, mea culpa, even if it was inadvertant. I will immediately "edit" my post to eliminate the poem. Always wonderful to encounter someone who reads and remembers. Jim |

Hi minus! Aurelian in one of the best poets posting on this forum. Read the work she puts up. Didn't mean to "steal" the lines, but it is an interesting side note on how poetry and poetic images do have a lasting impact. These deleted line were of an image from Levertov that stuck to my brain for like, 30 years. If the posting led you to her work, this is a good, if regrettably sleazy, thing. Jim |
