Thirty one years ago she asked me to explain love.
Love
a four letter word with more meaning
than the act of the
frightened
trying to find comfort in the arms of the
frightened.
Love
To lie between her breasts
with her securely
embraced
under my arms and
for us to meet with
Love
with out regret
this is
Love
and I want to make it my study
this lesson
she taught me in acceptance
through understanding
most of all
myself
to love myself
Love
not the infusion of my emotion and senses
but the stillness
that reflects like the moon
seen
in its wondrous display
this orb in heaven
displayed
in every body of water
the needed substance to exist
with out love
how futile
a word never associated with
love
nor the sweet
kisses
of her mouth
for her
love
is more intoxicating
than wine
She is the one
whom my soul
loves
these subtle lessons
that love teaches
me
every thing
you
a Devine gift.

if it is going to be it is up to me i choose my destiny

I think you defined love very well in your poem. You show a lot of passion in your words. If only what you said was all there was to it. I feel love is so much more then that. It can not really be explained properly, only felt through emotions. Very good poem non the less though.
