Can't wake up - eyes half closed Overslept - must have dozed Five fifteen - heart attack Fling the night - Off my back Eggs and toast - have to wait Every morning running late Pull my butt - out of bed Leave my brain - there instead Enter here - I drive up Ask the girl - for a cup Steaming brew - truth be told Every drop is liquid gold! ![]() After reading Moose's challenge in the workshop, I thought I might give this form a try. Poetry is the sculpting of words. We ALL start with a lump of clay. |

Looks pretty good to me Cat. But I think it is an acrostic. I don't recognize anacrostic ![]() Content is light, appropriate and meaningful. Meter is consistent. Rhymes good and unforced. And primarily, it is an acrostic. In short, it looks like a keeper to me, a good way to start the day ![]() Pete |
