Nothing Don't see anything here Dusty, old, deserted place Whatever was here has gone a long time ago Left nothing behind But dust A lot of useless dust, Ripped up pages from a book Where's the cover? Even that has been taken Don't see anything worth anything here Gotta leave Gotta get out One question Can you get out of your own mind? |

Hi Joy!! Very Good descriptive usage here, It brought thoughts of seclusion, desertion, abandonment and Isolation and, the ending was very surprising because it was a good question... Your failures in life come from not realizing your nearness to success when you give up. -Yoruba Proverb Poetry & Friendship, PrincessPoet |

Your words create a vivid picture in my mind...this is a poem with a very clever twist at the end....I hope you no longer have the need to escape your mind. Rather stay there and draw from it some more beautiful poetry! Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

Joy, Interesting poem. "Can you get out of your own mind?" Yes, but you have to clear out those cobwebs first. ~Gene |
