* these poems are a continuation of realizing the "Gifts" found during my "moments in time" with this special man.

~Treasures Left Behind~

Thoughts of you drift sweetly in to my mind,
your love is a gift-a treasure you left behind.

As this times passes...I still feel you here,
my mind accepts your gone, my heart keeps you near.

Your words are always with me, helping me to be strong,
I feel your hand in mine-in my day I take you along.

I miss you more than these simple words can ever say,
Yet I know your in my soul-guiding me along my way.

I promised you I would not be too sad or lost in my pain,
So please forgive the tears I cry ... they heal me like spring rain.

When I start to feel lonely or lost-I know it wont last long,
I only need to read your poems or listen to our song.

Time will heal this heart of mine, my words again will rhyme,
I keep you close in memory, so very grateful for this time.

Janet Marie>>>>>>>>

~Searching For The Words~

There just are no words to express what I really need to say...
to make you understand-I was lost and you helped me find my way.

How does one thank another ... for breathing life back into their soul,
For the gifts of love, faith, and trust, allowing me to again feel whole.

I am so deeply grateful for the inspiration returned...
for the encouragement and honesty, all the lessons learned.

Pain from the past had been costly and taken its toll on me,
then you taught me about forgiveness-the way it sets us free.

So now as my heart still heals...this I need to do...
Give to you these simple words ... to express my love, respect, and gratitude.

Janet Marie

thank you baby...loving you, always...

Wow...if I was the one to whom this poem was addressed, I'd be a little bit overwhelmed right now

Beautiful piece, Janet.

And two for the price of one!

Beautifully said. If my X had written something like that to me, we'd still be together.

I didn't bring all the "Butterflies" to a flutter, but know this I read every single one, and felt east vibration of a soul taking flight.  How these poem summoned my own loss to the surface, and got me to step beyond it, by dealing with it.  I will always be thankful you shared these with us here.

Wow...can you see the tears falling.  I am feeling the pain and heartache in your words, JM.  This was sooo beautiful!  Missing my own dear friends and loved ones today.  [I guess the rainy, grey skies have brought the memories of them to the surface.]  Thank you for these...I will be keeping them for a future read.

Hugs...   ~  Becka
