I was apprehensive about writing this poem mainly because, this is my lifes challenge Right Now, Something, I struggle with Daily 24/7. Poetry has helped me make it to the next....Day Degenerative Disk in the lower spine and neck Chronic Pain Unpredictable and Uncontrolled, So Quick and So Spontaneous First, being External Affecting my Internal; Like the Affect of a Viper 'Gyre, 'Lithe, Striking me within But, No one knows, No one knows Like some Tortured, by our own Undesignated and not Premeditated; Nevertheless, A Random Victim Not of something, anyone can see; Through me External or Internally My Tears are Exposed despite How I hide and, My Whiffling is heard My Scars, are Old and Healed; Yet, the mark of an Old Bruise On the small of my back But, It's still there I feel it Everyday And, Right now I feel like No one knows Its name, No one understands; No one knows, it but ME I remember being this- Frabjous, Galumphing Person; Beamish Not giving into temptations Yet, not taking Life for Granted Because, I knew Then, A Decade ago When, I became a Victim To PAIN No One Knows, No One Knows, No One Knows My Pain; But Me. Your failures in life come from not realizing your nearness to success when you give up. -Yoruba Proverb Poetry & Friendship, PrincessPoet |

I am very sorry to hear of your terrible back pains. I hope there is some way for you to recover. Very good poem... Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

Princess, This is a wonderful poem. You expressed your pain very well, but it fails in one respect. I DO know, and understand. I have lived with chonic pain every day for the last 28 years. Believe me, I know what you're going through. I have the exact same problem--and worse. I've been to hell and back, but I've learned to cope with it. If you need to talk, feel free to e-mail me. (Hugs) ~Gene |

Very good poem, sad topic. My prayers are with you that you can have some relief if not a cure in the future. |

Princess Poet! No one can feel your own pain, but many can empathize with you.I myself have a Herniated disk in my back, also! I have numerous medical problems, like A Arthritis, and my car was hit by a Train! I was thrown free of my car,but I suffer pain everyday just from that! Poetry and Laughter are my best pills, for some relief.Sometimes,it seems to work wonders! I hope, you will get better, but try not to dwell on your pain, for it will seem worse. I am not saying you dwell,I am suggesting that you try not to,if that is a tendency. |

*sniff* so sad Princess. I feel for you, I really do. I also have back pain do to a spinal injury 2 years ago...but you've conveyed yours so well, I don't think I have anything to scream about. I'm glad you were able to let this out...it seems like it was long overdue! Great Job! --Jamie |
