While i was out roaming very VERY late last night, prowling through dark feild,devoid of light. I saw a strange sight,an apparition perhaps maybe as i walked....into a dream i lapsed. One can never tell exactly what goes on, into strange plays,acts,& stages we are drawn. What i saw was a man,stranger than i've ever seen in his eye was an unearthly gleam. His face was white....deathly pale!! Around him a cold sharp wind began to wail. His dark cloak unfurled and billowed in the air he seemed to grin,a haunting smirk,in the moonlight there. It's then i saw....what i wished not to see, it was a VAMPIRE standing there before me!! I covered my face with my dark cloth shawl, so that he would not see me crouching there at all. I was terrified,frightened,in my haste to become unseen, under my foot a twig snapped,attracting attention of the fiend. I knew all i could do was run, a haven or refuge.....i had none. So i took off unguided across the feild To this wicked creature i could NOT yeild!! I hoped i was stronger and faster than he, a vampire,i would never wish to be. But as you know,vampires have strength unreal & he chased me with a sickening zeal. He caught me by my arm & spun me 'round & started to lunge toward me.....when he hit the ground. He vanished!! All that was left were his clothes, & an arid stench,that like smoke rose. In his lust for blood,i guess he forgot, the sun was coming up,like a shot. So,in this way i escaped my fate, remind me never to stay out THAT late!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lol...sorry folk,i just can't seem to write serious poetry,it's all absurd!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And there she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson |

Well, if any vampire chased me around when I'm late (way past curfew!  ) I would have two things against him...for one, dragons can fly, and two, we have bad breath...VERY bad breath...  Great poem! I enjoyed it!  Little Spyro T. Dragon |
