Close to the door He paused to stand as he took his class ring off her hand all who were watching did not speak as a silent tear ran down his cheek and through his mind the memories ran of the moments they walked and laughed in the sand but now her eyes were so terribly cold for he would never again have her to hold they watched in silence as he bent near and whispered the words...... "I LOVE YOU" in her ear he touched her face and started to cry as he put on his ring and wanted to die and just then the wind began to blow as they lowered her casket into the snow.... this is what happens to man alive...... .....when friends let friends..... drink and drive. If you love something let it go... if it comes back it's yours... if it doesn't it never was. |

Wow...talk about a poem with a message! Great piece...and great message as well. Little Spyro T. Dragon "Weird?! No, 'weird' is when you apply your human rules to where they shouldn't be applied. That's why it seems strange to you." --Ttark |

A wonderful poem. I could "feel" the emotions here. Sad, so sad. |

Very powerful! Joy "To you, my children, These lovely flowers I give. Prune ye my vines and fig trees, With care my flowerets tend, But keep the pathway open, Your home is at the end." -Robert Frost (from: God's Garden) |

*tears stream down my face* Wow.. I wasn't expecting the way this ended.. Very touching.. Thankyou for getting the message out in your wonderful poem... MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

This is a beautiful and tragic poem. The message you express is taken to heart by me for sure. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |
