I stare up at the moon, All I can see is you. I look up to the sky, And see your brown eyes. You're always in my mind, So why did we say goodbye? I lay down to sleep at night, And you're all that's in my head. I reach up to turn off the light, Wishing you were sharing my bed. I can't get you out of my mind. Baby, why did we say goodbye? I drive down this long road, Heading from work to home. Picture you by my side, Wish you were here for this ride. I feel like I'm going to cry, Tell my why did we say goodbye. I'm sorry for what I've done, Or what I didn't do. If I could change what's past, I'd hold on to you. You know how much I love you baby, Why did we say goodbye? But now the past is over, And the future lies ahead. The present leads to tomorrow, And I'll clear you from my head. With every step apart we take, I'm beginning to see why, It was important for us to say ....Goodbye. MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

This is a lovely poem. I am glad you are healing and seeing better things for yourself. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is a rainbow of delight." |

Very good poem. Sometimes we have to step away from a situation to see it for what it is but, goodbyes never really feel "good". ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

This poem expresses your feelings past and present very well. Many times the moment or closest future to the moment does not envision us enough to know the truth. |

Good stuff. Moving. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |

Beautiful poem. Hard realization to come to, though with every goodbye comes the oppurtunity for another hello |

This is a lovely poem... it's sad to say goodbye to someone you loved but there will be another time to meet someone new To find love is to know true happiness... to lose love is to lose everything |
