A different problem perhaps? You posed a good question on making a living No problem for me, but rather it's sleeping. I work at my job, from dawn until dark. And then hurry home and my backside I park. In front of this screen, and then I start reading, and writing and laughing and crying and weeping. I cannot escape , I can't stay awake But I will, for there's no time for sleeping. Jack |

Thanks for solving that question. I had been losing sleep over it I certainly appreciate your sharing your personal schedule with us. Now this probably explains it for many, but I have a suspician that perhaps some are doing the poet thing during (dare I say) working hours. Anyone guilty of this? Please speak up. Thanks for the great little poem, dear poet Liz |

Certainly know the feeling there Jack. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |

*raises a hand* Guilty....I'll admit it.. I work graveyards and go on-line at work.. Go home to my "kids" (((pets))) and make sure that my dog gets plenty of excercise.. Sleep a few hours.. More often then not lately I'm up talking with friends and/or adopted families.. Go to play practice and then come back to work... Without the work time for on-line, I'd never get here.. *smiles sheepishly* MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

Jack--Ok, the lack of sleep to be online I can attest to......as for using a puter to go online at work, don't I wish!! On a very rare occasion, I can slip on long enough to send an e-mail out to a friend to let them know of, say, upcoming schedule changes....but that is very rare. It's now after 1:00 in the morning, though, and I have to be up in six hours, and the laundry STILL isn't done........so, I guess you could say I go online at the expense of some other things!! Great response to Liz's piece, Jack.< !signature--> "Unto thine own self be true, and it must follow as the night, the day; thou cans't not be false to any man."---Shakespeare [This message has been edited by freckles (edited 04-13-2000).] |
