Tears fall..Pain grows.. People leave..Who knows.. Tomorrow comes.. Another day.. People leave.. They go away.. All alone..By myself.. People leave..No one else.. All alone..Standing here.. Pull the trigger...No more tears. If life's worth living, why do I always cry? Please someone tell me, why can't I die? MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

This is a powerful exspession of frusration. Sometimes we all feel this way. Write more poetry, run 'round the block a few times, sing ,dance ,listen to music, read a book, come to the corner pub. Go let it out. Jon |

Very well written. Broken, this gripped my heart and touched my soul. Hit me in a personal way. Pulling the trigger means no more tears for the person with the gun but MANY days of endless tears for those left to go on. Depression is not an easy enemy to do war with but each battle can be won - a single day at a time. Is this about Josh? < !signature--> ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Another Haiku to help cheer you up. Darkness envelopes Sorrow, pain and anger overwelm Tomorrow brings light None of us are ever truely alone, even though it may seem that way. Their are friends all around, just some of them you haven't had the opportunity to meet yet. |

A powerfull poem, to be sure. I hope you were expressing the level of frustration and not actually considering the act. I echo my fellow poets.....pulling the trigger is not the answer. Keep writing...I look foward to reading more of your work. INclan |

TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED: I've been trying to get back to each of you on a one to one basis. If I've failed, I'm sorry. I wrote this a while ago when I was feeling really depressed. A lot of bad stuff kept happening, one thing after another. Near where I used to live, up hidden away in the hills, was a place called The Poets Table. I took a walk there, wrote this, and spent the day contemplating life. I watched the sun set and was filled with the feeling that after coming so far in life, there was still much to be done. I didn't mean to disturb anyone. I was just feeling blue again. I've found that re-writing or reading "No More Tears" helps me remember all I still have and not to focus on what I've lost so much. Thanks to everyone for showing you all care. A wise man once said "Some people make the world a better place just by being in it." I'd like to point out that each of you are one of this people. Thanks again, Nicole MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |

Another Peak into that soul I wish to mend, your poetry has again touched my heart. May the light of day always shine during the darkest of nights. |
