Lovers’ Quarrels Misunderstanding is so natural It’s a valid part of love Without discord, we would be bored With those we’re fondest of Conflict adds a bit of spice To the everyday mundane Perpetual smiles are often wiles To cover over pain A disagreement now and then Is fuel for passion’s fire It stirs the coals and moves the souls To wallow in their ire There’s heartache in the quarreling And truth in waking up But oh, the fare two lovers share When they are making up Elizabeth Santos |

Liz, Wonderful poem. I couldn't agree more. It's the people who say they have a perfect marriage because they never fight, that you have to be leery of. ~Gene |

Wonderful flowing words...Please excuse me now, I'm off for a good row May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |
