In the shadows of the night, she hears voices calling. They sound like the screams and moans of a person falling. Tonight she heard them too, & it's a grave point to rue, It's because of them she died, it's because of them she cried. This night she heard their mournful sound, & with her heartbeat, her head began to pound. By her bed she lit a candle, slipped her fingers through it's handle. She tread softly on the cold stone floor, turned to the side & opened her chamber door. She crept along the castle halls, and quietly followed the crying calls. Then she heard footsteps echo behind her, She had only terror, her terror was pure. She gasped and gazed behind & Look! a man in white!! He called her name, his voice echoed through the night. She turned and ran from the harm, straight into her father's arms. And in his arms she fainted, with death her face was tainted. So by the darkness she was taken, from the earth she was shaken. Oh,I loved her deeply, she was to be my wife. For her's I would gladly have given my life. And I was the man who stood behind her in white. I was dressed in bedclothes,i had been sleeping that night, when I heard the sound of pattering feet. I drew open my door & saw her image, neat. I followed, she heard I saw her head turn'd. I called her name I bear the blame. She could not see my face, & away from me she raced. But as for the haunting voices that dinned, they were only the wind.....................….. And there she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson |

Hauntingly beautiful. May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out. Irish proverb. |
