On the eve of a crescent moon I could see a shadow- move It’s form seemed O’so familiar As if I knew Then you stepped from shadow and the moonlight cast a glow around you Arms outstretched in loving Invitation Welcoming me into solid embrace a place of solace peace You’ve always had that air- about you Those eyes - how they mesmorize even in shadows Their power Nature’s force- somehow manifests itself in our hunger Maybe it is the weather, the starlight, a bit of the crescent moon But every part of my being feels utterly consumed- in you. My eyes must say the words My lips falter to speak The way my body- communicates It’s as if you read the reactions without murmur And I feel your loving hands wrap tighter My mind wanders onto one thought I wonder does anyone else ever feel this connected? Your lips answer with a hungered kiss. It’s as if you read every gesture without a word whispered Rain softly falls leaving glistening drops along our unclothed skin Yet niether you or I seek shelter For all we need is each other.
