Isolation Is This A small crab Washed up on a high rock The midday sun raining down upon his back An earthworm The steel hook already a part of him Dangling in his watery grave Waiting for a fish A guiltless man The noose tight around his neck The trap door creaking beneath his feet A newborn baby Fighting for his first breath In the arms of his starving mother Me without you I have no air I have no blood I have no voice I have no mind I have no touch I have no reason I have no feeling I have no will My body has no soul This Is Isolation [This message has been edited by Jon Mewett (edited 03-31-2000).] |

This is very good Jon. Evokes a lot of emotion. Gave me the chills too. ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

Please don't stay isolated to long your deep poetry sings like a song in a world far away you slow dance your words into form for our glance Talent rides you away into a sphere where you write so well for us here to delightfully emote us with words flutter and flying like graceful birds [This message has been edited by Lost Dreamer (edited 03-31-2000).] |

Very powerful. Definately is very spine-chilling and well written. Sheila ...the earth and myself are of one mind. The measure of the land and the measure of our bodies are the same........... Joseph, Nez Perce Chief |
