My Story Let me tell you a story; Of love and hate. How I Loved a girl named Avei; But I told her way to late. I was afraid she'd say no! And tell me to go away; That she'd tell me to go. That I could'nt stay... So I stayed in the dark; without a word, Without a remark... And I watched her live her life. as if nothing was wrong. While I lived in strife. And fear all day long. People kept telling me; To let her know. To let her see! My love to show... But it's easier said than done; cause what if she did'nt love me? Her heart I hadn't won? Then I'd have to live; With the rejection. That would be infinitive; Without correction. So I'd rather live; Thinking mabey she loved me. without the affirmative. I probably wouldn't see CHICO |

Chico- Avei obviously means a lot to you (you've written other poems about your love for her). Sure - by telling her how you feel you risk rejection but if you never let her know how will you know whether or not there's a chance. Don't let fear prevent you from living. You write well of your love for her, maybe you should give these to her. ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

I was going to say something Chico, but as I clicked on I read my friends comments, what more could anyone say to you, she has given you the best advice available, this is a sad poem, only you can change that. |

Chico If she means as much to you as you write you have to tell her.If you don't tell her you'll always have that question "what if" or "what could have been". And hey what if she feels this same way about you? are you willing to let her go that easily by not telling her? If someone loved me as much as you love her i would want to know. I know that you fear the rejection u might have to live with but what about the happiness you might be passing up....and even if she does reject you in time you will feel better knowing that at least she knows. there was a guy that my best friend like and she was to scared to tell him. he died in a car crash never knowing how she felt. She crys about it now and regrets never telling him ~Angie o yea um just a quick question i didnt see the hate side? am i missing something? Hey Thank you all for replying, I relly appreciate your insite, and ye I know your right, But I just have to find the courage ll, her, I am really thinking about it... And to answer your question just_another_fe, The hate Part, now that you mention it, I did not make real clear, but Why I put it in there, Is because, I Am starting to hate how She can do this to me, and she seems to gon on with her every day life, as if nothing is wrong... so there you have your answer.. thank you again for replying... Chico, Good poem, but in response to your reply to fe, hating how this situation makes you feel is one thing, but being andry at her for going on as if nothing is wrong...how does she know anything is wrong? You haven't let her know how you feel. Get your courage up and let her know. Sheila ...the earth and myself are of one mind. Chico, I went through the same sort of thing as you when I was a lad. I thought the girl was out of reach, scared of rejection so never asked. Years later I found from a mutual friend she had felt the same way about me. It was too late, the chance had passed. Don't let YOUR chance pass you by. At least you will know one way or the other. |

Great poem, Chico. I know exactly how you feel. Go for it! I've let too many slip away 'cause I was too shy. I always promise if another ever comes my way, I won't hold back, but I always seem to screw up. ~Gene |
