Ok two poems for the price of one click!! kind of like a before and after thing ... ~*Broken Wings*~ I wish I could fly But I've got broken wings Why must we always wish For impossible things? I was shot down by a hunter He broke my wings and stole my heart I've tried to get on with life I'm just not sure where to start It's no fun being on the ground When wings once touched the sky I would do anything... Some one teach me once again to fly!!! ~*Chains Unbound*~ A tangle of emotions chains unbound smoldering embers lost yet found jumbled up words a shy grin dazzling eyes I'm lost within the touch of your hand the sound of your voice falling hard not wanting the choice abandoning fears tearing down walls surrendering willingly to love's sweet calls soaring in heaven bright blue sky thank you my love for reminding me how to fly !!! "A poet is one who spends a lifetime standing out in thunderstorms, waiting to be hit by lightning" ~Randal Jarrell~ |

Two for the price of one! These are great, Starr. I like how they go together, but what about making it into a trilogy? There could be a third one that ends with the last two lines, And for all eternity Together, we will fly --- Or something like that. ~Gene |

Starr - I third Genes idea for a third! These are absolutely beautiful. I too like the way you tied them together. So -- how about a third??? ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

Wow Starr!! Double your pleasure, double the fun. . . You always seem to have such an excellent understanding of what feelings are in your heart. . . and that's what makes your writing so excellent. . . Okay, I want a third too!! ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

I enjoyed these two poems so much…the first trust broken by love. the second reaching out to trust and allow love to lift you again. Thanks Tess "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies." -Aristotle |
