Today, you got another chance. Make of it what you will. The door inside is open wide, Because I paid the bill. I want you to be happy; I want you to succeed. To help you know just where to go, And give you what you need. You think your pain is hidden? Something only YOU can feel? NO! You can't hide what's there inside; To me, as well, it's real. That icy wall of silence That goes up when I speak Defeats each word, they go unheard; It may as well be Greek. So how am I to help you? To tell you how to win? When everything I try to bring Is not allowed within? It must come from inside you, The willingness to start, To push, to do, to see it through, It takes a lot of heart. So now what? When, tomorrow, You start another day, Then will you choose once more to LOSE? Or find a better way? I'm always here to help you. But today, I don't know how. You must begin to try to win, No better time than now! Come talk to me this evening And get it off your chest. We'll form a plan; then be a MAN For you CAN be: THE BEST. |

This is a father talking to a son, if not, it sure could be, I see a troubled boy and a worried father in this poem, it is a very good piece of work. Bill |

...and a father who is willing to talk it out heart to heart and man to man....it doesn't get any better than that! Denise |

I'm sure this person knows you are there for him and when he's ready he will open up and talk to you. I hope it doesn't take too long. This is a great expression of caring. I hope he hears you Exile. I truly do. This poem shows what a loving father you are. |
