Vibrant emerald Shoots forth, rising, stretching, free Springs to new life, grass! Humidity hangs Stifling, searing, glorious Swimming pool relief! Tree colors ablaze Leaf fires, pungent, sweet smoke Too close, teary eyes! Frosty, crisp, cold air Ice crystals, winters web spun On my windshield form! (my humble response to the Haiku challenge) < !signature--> Poetry is the expression of thoughts which awake the higher and nobler emotions, or their opposites, with words arranged to some accepted convention.........or maybe not! Hey, liked these. And they certainly met the haiku form better than mine. But I didn't know then what I know now! Joy |

Dennis~ These are wonderful moments you've captured. I caution ... they are addicting ! nice ones indeed...esp enjoyed the first and the last haiku...like the image of new life spouting and the line "winters web spun" is ingenious!!wish i had thought of that |

I loved all of your amazing haikus! My favourite is vibrant emerald shoots forth, rising, stretching, free springs to new life, grass! Excellent imagery and a great way of bringing grass to life for us! Wow, Dennis, you really have a talent for haikus! Take care, Melissa Honeybee |
