...zzzzzzz...huh? Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be writing a poem! Grrr... ...zzz... Well, one day, I was taking a nap Under a tree (that was dripping with sap!) I cuddled my tail In the shadow of shale When came running a lil' mishap! One little kid with a sword and a scowl Came running at me, intentions afoul-- He jumped on my back And began his attack; He even let out a loud growl! He climbed my back and sat on my wing And sliced and diced with his plastic sword-thing; To myself I just smiled, To him reconciled, And him to my arms I did bring! All I did was tilt my back some, And the lil' kid dropped to my arm, low-slung; He struggled a lot and sometimes spinned, But I looked in his eyes and simply grinned-- Eventually, his heart I'd won! I looked down at him, in my arm, And promised that I would do him no harm-- The kid I could have squashed like a bug!-- But instead I gave him a really big hug. The kid stopped fighting and I let him free, But what he did was get closer to me! So I held him abreast, Then close to my chest And we both--*yawn*--fell into happy slee... ...zzzz.... ...Li..zzz...t'le Spyro T. D..draa...gg-'n....zzzzzzz.. .....zzzzzzzz.... How adorable! Very amusing, Spyro. Too cute for words. I can imagine the little kid knight rushing up to a dragon and try to slay him with a plastic sword... ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |

Spyro---this is absolutely wonderful. I felt like I was back in the days of knights and dragons (one very kind dragon I might add). I enjoyed reading this and will be catching more of your work now that I've found a home here in the Pub. (Pssst....I hope you two enjoyed your nap!) So sweet purple one! Te imagery is so vivid. The bravery of a little one as he strikes out to win over the dragon. This is wonderful - as always. |

You make me wonder Spyro, if there exists a limit to that wonderfully imaginative mind of yours. Great Work! My little dragon friends are amused! --Jamie |

Little Spyro, How noble a dragon to treat his foe with love rather than defensive attack. I wish the non-violent aura here could spread across the world. Beautifully written - as always.
