All my illusions set before me,
on the banquet table of reality.

Truth the centerpiece,
huge and unavoidable,
glorious in all it's
perfection!

Then why do I mourn
the death of my dreams?

Instead I shall rejoice
in the truth,
of dreams, not illusions
that are yet to be....
my new reality!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

a reality...
this poem depicts reality. truly, we should not grieve over broken dreams, but rejoice in the reality of new ones. great poem.
