Capacity of the Heart

Dismal darkness stealthily sneaks into the light
Quietly awaiting its chance to spread its malignity
Multiple levels of life, it makes no difference
Slowly the shine of kindness are dulled

Cascading clouds blank out the fraudulent sky
Night becomes the suffocating blanket
Slowly the lights around fade
Into the vortex of darkness

A radiant light pierces the dark shell
The warm light breaching the clouds
Forcing the darkness away
Banishing it back to the dark depths

The brilliant shines slowly return
Because of one person,
fully giving of their being
The capacity of the heart
drives away the evils of the world.
